It would help if he would realize he needs to buy large shirts and not mediums anymore - he looks like Tim Allen growing into Santa...

He said he has been going to the gym at Mines but well see... and he was on his second serving of cauliflower mashed potatoes before his brother told him what he was eating 😉 this past weekend.... The other two at home have adjusted to some healthier eating pretty well...

Was it the Green Giant ones? I find them delightful. I bought the Safeway/Albertsons ones this last time and they are not as delightful.

Mrs RG makes them from scratch with actual cauliflower - and you really cant tell *much* of a difference. & much easier to make than actual mashed potatoes -

Did a week of at  home garage workouts from my garage - have to admit no where as much fun and I really dread them, never though I would miss going to the gym so much.

Hoping we can have some warm weather to at least do some running or biking -

& just think in January I was close to getting a hand stand push up and now I have a spreadsheet to track the toilet paper supply!

Like many trying to not spend too much money but I have 2 4X8 stall mats (3/4 in rubber mats) they are arounf 45 bucks, thinking of going and getting another 4-5 so I can have a better area in the garage if I am going to be doing burpees and shit 3 days a week...

Fuck you bat eating bitch mother fucking cocksucker!!!

I've been so anxious in the early mornings that a workout is the only thing that sort of calms me down before I head in to work. This morning was bad - woke up around 5:00 and then started thinking. So I got up and looked at my phone. Made the mistake of looking at the Johns Hopkins map. Holy fuck. So then I went downstairs and started my pushups / iso routine and watched the news. Even though it was distressing, the exercise sort of overrode all of that and felt much better going in to work.

I agree it does help free my mind - I try and not look at the news but usually end up doing so towards the end of the work day - which puts me in a worse mood -  Ive got to switch my clock back to working out in the mornings - I have totally gotten out of the 4 am rise and shine habit - & maybe there is no need for that but Ive  gone back to working out after work, which makes me stay up late and then I sleep late - need to get back on track of doing it in the mornings -

today we forced ourselves to work out at lunch - would like to get it out of the way in the morning but its a start.. doing it at the end of the day defin wasnt working..

Worked out this AM.  Also been walking the dog 1.5 miles and the AM and again at night.  The dog is looking really good.

So I was going to get one of those cheesy weighted vests to wear since it looks like another month of body weight workouts - why the F are they so expensive? $200 Bucks?  Does it give a reacharound or something??

If you're buying it already weighted, expect to pay at least a buck a pound new for anything loaded with steel.  If you want to buy a tactical vest like the ones from 5.11 that got rebranded for Crossfit, they were always $200+, and you will pay a doomsday prepper premium right now with a 3 month lead time.  If you search "weighted vest" on Amazon, you will find them WAY cheaper.

First World Problem (well I guess we may not be 1st world much longer)

Since we pay a shit load of $$ to go to Crossfit (I know-and I am sorry to say its name out loud) We are torn between wondering if it will ever be safe for the wife &I to go back.. Even if she gets the virus, gives it us and we take a month off to either heal or die, lets assume we heal, there is no real way to know if she will get it again, be immune, etc. as long as she works where she works she is going to forever be a candidate to infect others at the gym?   Now there are several other medical people that also go to our same gym, but I sort of think, even if the world is semi back to normal in June and things open, we dont really feel like we can go back for like a year maybe?

Maybe we are worrying too much, I could easily outfit a really nice home gym set up with what we pay a year in gym fees, so maybe that the route well go.

This came out of some training she went to yesterday where the basically said something like "The best the CDC can tell is that if you are exposed and live you have a year of immunity, so were hoping that not all of you catch it at the same time" - & that went over like a fart in church..

Our gym sent out an email saying they weren't charging anyone for this month, but I don't think I'd want to go back for at least 6 months.   It's a pretty big organization, but they'll be hurting if everyone feels the same.  Still, that's a lot of money.

Ill be curious to see what ours does if they don't get the OK to open back up next month - these types of gyms are pretty small, only 8 people per class - I dont believe these affiliate owners make a ton of money - especially the smaller ones.

We were going to pay out the rest of this month and probably next (assuming we still have jobs) to help him but once he opens back I think well have to drop for a while - we dont want to be the reason someone gets sick.  But at the same time this shit is likely going to be around for 18 months until we develop the "herd immunity" so its not like were the only potential carries?

But alas this is keeping the wife awake at night and therefore its keeping me awake at night :(

Dr. Fauci seems to think otherwise:
