What do you guys do to supplement protein intake? Are you using protein powders, protein bars, peanut butter by the jar, "other" sources?

I usually do a shake with 2 scoops vanilla ON Gold Standard Whey Protein, milk, and peanut butter powder.

Mr. Leggo and I LOVE our daily protein smoothies. We use a custom blend vegan protein powder (chocolate flavored, pea and soy protein based) from True Nutrition, which is a company I’m a big fan of. I combine a scoop of that with 5 cubes of ice, two big spoonfuls — 1 of peanut butter and one of Greek yogurt, about 350ml of water, one frozen banana, and a tsp of maca powder (which is not necessary if you don’t have it). It’s freaking delicious.

Mr. Leggo also likes the chunky peanut butter Think bars. I’m generally not a fan of protein bars and neither is he but these have passed muster in terms of taste and texture (which the chocolate peanut butter Think bars, made by the same company, did not).

Also, things involving chickpeas! Like hummus. Could sneak in some good protein there and also serve with veggies to dip!

I usually get the peanut butter protein bars from Robert Irvine. A bit high on calories but also high in protein and taste is definitely good.

Haven't thought about adding greek yogurt to smoothie but I do eat lots of it on the side. Fage zero fat is low cal/high protein per serving.

Those little Premier Protein shakes are good for 30g a pop and are low calorie. If you're a coffee drinker, they've got a "Cafe Latte" one that tastes pretty good over ice mixed in with your coffee.

Thanks all. The challenge (for me at least) is finding a protein power that isn't also high in sugar and sodium that also taste's good.

Try True Nutrition! It’s not difficult to create your own mix. Mine is super simple, four ingredients including the flavoring. Here’s the link for my specific brand: truenutrition.com/p-1126-custom-mix.aspx?mix=7525e429d46442e5a1f93b615810a652

And here are the nutrition facts:

I also find the pricing to be quite reasonable.

I used to buy the Combat cookies and cream flavor, and it was really good.

Been slacking off due to long hours at work and diet hasn't been awful but not as strict so haven't been posting much...
