    Plumbing/Fire suppression

What type of plenum are you speaking of? In general terms wet pipe, dry pipe, and deluge systems having increasing pipe sizes in their respective order.

This is slow-roasted, hickory smoked spam with a side of smooth Kentucky sipping Drain-O.

I rolled the dice and had sushi for lunch.....the Fudgie moment did not occur.

Total Eclipse of the ?? (Heart) .. no the sun

Took the wife and kids to Casper, WY on top of Casper Mtn. Great view and apparently the american astronomical union had a conference in town and Monday was the last day having the eclipse be the end of the conference. Got to learn a lot more than I bargained for from some really smart people...

    Licensed Professional references

I asked engineers outside my company who are familiar with my work to vouch for me. It wasn't a problem because we have worked on so many projects together. A cold call would be highly suspect however.

Responsible Managing Employee for Fire Protection

I am an RME. I have a NICET Level 3 in water based layout. You should be fine with your PE in any state. What does this mean? It means you are the RME and that you verify everything that goes out or is inspected is code compliant (in accords with NFPA13,14,20,22,24,25 etc.) and meets local...

    And yet another school shooting

The OU incident was a guy with an umbrella and a car that backfired. Last year was a gunman scare which turned out to also be ... an umbrella. Need to ban umbrellas with extra large magazines and banana clips.

    Ford F-150

Rams are cheap used and drive like large sedans. Can't go wrong with that.

Seems some folks just don't learn...

We just bought a house at 3.5%. The bank wanted us to do an ARM (great deal for them and bad deal for us) but we cranked them up until they backed off the idea and gave us a conventional.

I thought this thread would be about the chicken tax.

    OKC Tornadoes

Still kicking in Norman. Most of the damage was in Moore and SW OKC. Some friends lost all but are ok. Many deaths and clean up is starting. Unlike May '99 this one had little warning which is why the death toll is so high. Wife was out storm chasing following this one and is still a bit rattled...

    Old Race Cars

I think back then one was a mechanic and the other the driver. Racetracks were primitive and the races could be very long.

    Iran's Stealth fighter

Was it Iran or N Korea that had the photoshopped missle array? I wonder why they didn't photoshop something more intimidating.

Would you buy a murder house?

Fine, be that way. Dad bought it when I was eight so no idea how cheap.

Would you buy a murder house?

Maybe just a death house. 6 year old girl died with some odd circumstances. Everyone in the neighborhood had a different story. Some say she fell and some say she was pushed etc. causing a head injury coupled with hitting a car pulling in the driveway. EMS respond time was 25+ minutes so...

Would you buy a murder house?

Spent 6 years in one. No biggie. No ghosts, hauntings or other shenanigans.

    Where did you see yourself....

Here in OK many FPE's do not have any engineering license. We've done the federal work as well but I'm not sure it is worth the hassle. Flying in a technician from out of state to read a pressure gage is pretty silly but written in the specifications. I remember you saying the SFPE manual wasn't...
