What about the Mitchell or Farmers Loop? Sure its more roundabout, but it'd get you there...

Glad I lived & worked on the east side of town when I was there...

Although the Steese work was a bear to deal with at times.

One day of customer site visits down. Two to go. I am exhausted. But at least I got my own world famous mini coconut cream pie from the world famous Rock Spring Cafe outside of Phoenix. The sign says world famous, so it must be true.

Can't be world famous.... Never heard of it!

Will have to ask a few other locals if they know if that joint. Results to follow...

those are options but they definitely are not going to win me any popularity contests. I am writing a spec to include a major public information campaign.

Its not ideal, but it'd be about the same time delay as waiting in traffic (potentially).

Have an intern do the PR stuff, it's good experience. :)

Maggie had fun on Illinois Street from what I heard.

bly I am sure you heard, ANC is getting krispy kreme doughnuts!

Yep, I heard. Turns out they started to come here in the mid 2000's too! Even built a building, then vacated it before it was completed. It has since been leased to Starbucks. Drawings still say Krispy Kreme on them!

Its the Starbucks plaza at Tudor & C!

I'm sure that once its built, i'll be asked to bring up fresh donuts when I come up to Fbx for visits, etc...

Since we lost Dunkin Donuts several years ago, the only donuts we get are from the grocery store (which really suck). Now, if they can make a good paczki, then I'll be visiting...

Otherwise, I'll continue to pass...

Ahh, I understand now. I'd want Krispy Kreme, too, if I didn't have a grocery store that makes better ones, a hospital bakery run by nuns that makes divine ones (really. amazing.) and a local coffee shop that makes cake donuts.
I haven't found a place outside of Michigan or Ohio that makes a good paczki. I don't think Krispy Kreme does those.

I miss the old days when the small towns had bakeries with fresh donuts and baked goods.

What's the big deal with Krispy Kreme? Their donuts are not fabulous at all.
Try living up here nothing is good. Outside world food taste so much better even if it is not fabulous.
But you have caribou. And moose. Can't you eat those?
Oh yeah! My freezer is full of both. And sockeye salmon( best salmon in the world) and halibut. When my friend lived in Haines he had a substance permit and would catch crab and he would give me some.
