Whats a elk permit cost in Alaska?

Not many elk in these parts. More moose, caribou and deer than anything as far as big game goes. Bison if yer lucky enuf to draw a permit though.

Elk are transported a d only can be hunted if you win a permit. Not sure on cost for nonresident but it's spendy.

Non res hunt lic around $200 moose tag for non res about $400 I think.

That's just fer the license, non residents have to have a guide also (iirc)

Yup for brown bear, grizzly, sheep and musk ox you need a guide. Min price on a quality guide runs about 12k for a sheep hunt. Selected areas require guides for moose and bou.

I want to hunt here next year (if we're still here) even in state elk hunt resident is still $390 out if state is $1300.00

I just need to find a friend to go with.. Been along time since I gutted a large animal...
