    Is cheerleading a sport?

I have participated in many sports: Soccer, rowing, baseball, basketball, etc. Cheerleading as a feat of physical strength, balance, and tumbling ability is as athletic and skilled an activity as many of them. Many squads participate in judged competitive events. In my opinion, cheerleading...

Sometimes you just need to scream!!!

For my 400th post, I'm going to bitch about a contractor that we had come quote two bathroom remodels. Admittedly, the master bathroom remodel was a little ambitious...but he quoted 15K for a fixture replace in the other bathroom, and 25-35K for the master bathroom. No effing way am I paying...

    Why continue to censor?

If you can't handle not disclosing copyrighted test materials, then you will probably struggle in your professional career where non-disclosure of trade secrets or intellectual property is a requirement and "censorship", as you term it, is the rule. The guidelines for discussion of the test...

Mechanical Engineering Technology student here, freaking out.

I work at a design and manufacturing company and MET is not frowned upon at all. We have had very positive experiences with our MET graduates and are glad to look at them for engineering roles.

Could what's happening in Egypt happen here?

Interesting times we live in that a bunch of engineering professionals seriously contemplate the kinds of moves being discussed here. May it never be.

    Bluskyy finally has some help!

So, I've been sidetracked for the last six months here into doing a mountain of testing work that has been keeping me from getting my real work done well. We had an excellent candidate accept an offer today for doing this work; I'm finally off the hook! :party-smiley-048:

I was wrong it seems. Examples of silly banning rationale don't really demonstrate your point, IMO. They just show that you've been banned from forums for stupid reasons. Not my house, I'm not privy to the relevant facts etc. etc. and I'm off my soapbox and done.

I also don't buy it. That would be a silly thing to ban someone over.

    Keeping an Engineering Journal

one stop shopping when you go back to looking for notes for patentability/patent-infringement/questions later on a project is key.

PE Mechanical Engineering Exam Review Course @ THE UNIVERSITY OF TULSA

I took it spring/summer 2007 for the test (first timer) for the fall examination. The handouts were two comb bound books, 1 for machine design and 1 for thermofluids/HVAC. The two professors who taught it when I took it were Siamack Shirazi and John Shadley. They both know their stuff very well...
