Dang, looks like pass rates are down across the board. Power 57 percent and electronics 59. From what I remember the Civil rates are down too.

Wow. Only 57% who took power passed. Damn that’s rough! Even lower if counting repeat test takers. I’m surprised they didn’t tweak the cut score to have at least 60% pass. Tough cut. Glad I made the coin flip.

The cut score is based on what an average PE would score on that test. They don't tweak it to ensure that minimal (or maximal) number or percentage of people pass.

Yeah, I guess construction is still in the ballpark with previous tests too. It's still fugly.

I took the Architectural Engineering PE exam this year and last year I think the first time takers were at 82% and the repeat was at 25%. Based on last year's pass rate I am surprised that the first time takers dropped all the way to 62%. However talking with a couple other people during the lunch break that were taking the AE PE, they were not too confident at all.

knew the Civil Structural seemed harder than I expected. Both morning and afternoon were significantly harder than the 5 practice exams I took. Glad I passed though...

69% last October. 59% this time. That's a lot of people!

It seems low across the board, but then again, it always seems low to me.

The repeat rates always fascinate me, especially considering I passed three different tests on my first repeat attempt.  The odds were never in my favor, yet I personally seemed to do well in that situation.

Fun Fact. There were 11,157 first time takers across all PE exams (including provided 2017 results for chemical, control, fire, nuclear etc). 7,224 passed which is 65%. 5,429 repeat takers of which 1,972 passed, which is 36%. Overall 16,586 people took the exam and 55% passed.

When you take away 2017 posted information strictly 2018 becomes: 6,470 passing first time takers out of 10,066, which is 64%. 1,878 out of 5,216 , which is 36%.

I failed 2nd attempt. CE - Transportation. Self study 37/80 Oct. 2017. Took Testmasters went to 45/80 for April 2018. Trending in the right direction? Ha. I do Aviation design, so I have to teach myself traffic analysis, and signal timing, LOS, etc. 3rd times the charm! Good luck to everyone else and congratulations to those who passed this last round!

I would be curious to know if anyone knows the cut off for transportation?

So correct me if I am wrong. But if you also take into account the repeat takers, the pass rate for cumulative examinees (first time and repeat) is approx only 48%.  That's a depressing number!

Did you pass???

Here the 2017 October passing rates, ALL PE Civil have gone down!

Anyone have the pass rates from April 2017? I see that the Civil Transpo depth was consistently 67-69%. This cycle, it went down to 64%. That's a huge drop off.
