Hey guys. Good luck to all the test takers but I found something pretty disturbing:
The link at http://www.pels.ca.gov/ is broken as of this morning.

Thanks for bookmarking this link: http://www.pels.ca.gov/applicants/oct09results.shtml

Looks like we have to wait January 21? I certainly hope not.
I was just about to post this. This is total BS.

yeah, I was antsy all week and now I have to wait another!?!
I wouldn't even count on this. The Board meeting isn't until the 27th.

These guys are all screwed up.
I swear, the State of California could screw up a wet dream. They are probably trying to firgure out a way to tax us to get our results. AHHHH!!!

I think that we all should email them and complain to them about this..this just not fair :mf_followthroughfart:

It won't do any good. I suspect about half the communication with the California Board is complaint. This is not the first time they've pulled this. In fact, I think it happens almost every year. It could still change again. I'm still thinking they won't release them until after the 1/27 meeting

I looked at the meeting agenda and didn't see anything about accepting test scores. I think they must have changed their process to not require board acceptance.

What a mess by CAPE? Its too hard to belive that actual PEs run this department.

This is most definitely the biggest screw-up. I mean who gives these guys their jobs man, this sucks bigtime.

Its definitely not dependent on the board meeting, since as pointed out, the agenda does not involve acceptance of passing scores. But yeah, we should definitely spam these guys to make sure that they learn a lesson. There was a brief screenshot and discussion on the PPI forums, and the link is

Lets decide to do something about this mess.

I agree with you. We should take steps so that future test takers doesn't have to face what we are facing right now.

But then again, it hasn't been 13 weeks. So even if we get it next week, it's still on schedule. So, let's take a deep breath and wait. This might be a good sign. They're probably reconsidering the passing scores. LOL.

They screwed up and weren’t able to get the results out when they said they would, not a big deal. But instead of putting out a new posting as soon as they realized they were going to be late, they wait until the day they are supposed to mailing them and edit a posting that is dated Dec 31 to say when they really think they will be mailing them. A funny part about it is they didn’t change the date of the re-mail, you can request a re-mail only 6 business days after the new mail date.

Now my question is this, why would they need a whole other week? I'm thinking a printer malfunction, they ran out of letterhead, the stamp machine broke, they ran out of stamps and need to wait for a check to clear to order more, or something along those lines. None of those things would take a whole week. But if they are this bad at estimating the date maybe they are thinking "we need another day or two but we want to give us more time in case something else goes wrong" so they instead post a week later.

So does anybody think they could come sooner? Is it even worth trying to analyze such an unpredictable animal?

I think it is possible they could come sooner. I think once I saw them come sooner than the posted date. But I really doubt it. They change this date around like this almost every year.

BTW- complaining is pointless, and after you pass you won't care. For five years (since I took it and had the same complaints) there are always people threatening to storm the Board's offices. It never happens.

yes. lets wait and watch, giving each other support and company, and hope for the best.
