To all the passers out there, CONGRATULATIONS! (To me, it doesn't feel whole yet until I get my number and seal, however, I have started calling myself a Professional Engineer and will order new business cards with P.E. behind my name next Wednesday)

CONGRATS!! to all the NEW FLORIDA PE's... Bask in the glory... it's a great feeling that i'm still continuing to experience.. it's like i was intern till the day i found out about my results and suddenly i am an ENGINEER... you got it **** right, I AM AN ENGINEER now....

By the way, I forgot to post this earlier.
I did not pass my first attempt, and there were 2 sheets of paper (fail letter and diagnostics_. This time I felt the envelope on the outside and knew there was more than one piece a paper and suddenly was not happy. After opening the envelope I went directly to the second sheet and it wasn't a diagnostic but something with information from FBPE. Then I went to first sheet and saw it was a passing letter.
Moral to this story is do not pay attention to the thickness of the letter or how many sheets because it is 2 sheets either way. Tricky NCEES/ELSES playing with everyone's emotions.

I asked this in another section, but maybe its better to ask here. Is "wall certificate" the envelope sized license we have to hang on the wall or do we get an actual certificate with seal that sort of looks like a diploma. Just curious if some of the hundreds of dollars I've given FBPE goes to something.

Has anybody observed their status on the myfloridalicense.com website go from "eligible for exam" to "active" (or whatever)?

I just chekced myfloridalicense.com and I appear to still be licensed! :w00t: That is actually a relief because I have always wondered if my license might disappear under the mysterious cloak of

I found out I passed the PE just before xmas day and according to the letter I'd have to wait up to 8 weeks for a certificate.
And the website for Florida board of PEs says the number would be issued by mid-January.
I'm just wondering is there something I should be doing? Do I need to send in money? or do I just sit tight?
I have to do the NCEES record so this waiting is killing me.
Any insight into this would put my mind at rest. Thanks.

^^^ At this point you just have to sit tight until they issue the #'s.
Recommendation: If you are feeling the itch to start something, I would begin with writing out your experience and ensuring you have your professional and personal references lined up. It can take awhile to put all of that together.
Considering it is January 11th - I would expect #'s to be posted by no later than next Friday.

Has anyone received a registration number yet in Florida? Why does everything that has to do with PE licenses take so long? I feel like all you do is wait. Wait 4 years to apply for the exam, then wait to be approved to sit for it, then wait to take the exam, followed by more waiting for the results. Finally, get the results, and they make you wait another month to issue a number. Once your done waiting for one thing, you wait for the next. I wonder why it can't just be like some of the other professional licenses. I mean we are all engineers, streamlining things and solving problems is what we are suppose to do. Sorry, some long overdue ranting on my part.

Nope, still waiting for my number. Although, at least the website says I have passed now, instead of saying waiting for score. I am wanting/needing it so that I can file for commity in NC!

I drove by the FBPE office yesterday and gave them a GLARING look! :angry: I think that should help with getting the PE #'s posted a little sooner.
