okay that reminded me... I haven't used the food dehydrator in like a year, what's the best way to make jerky with it?

Best way is to marinate the meat strips then dry until they're done (~8 hours for 1/4" thick pieces for most newer dehydrators)

any suggestions on marinade for a good one? and the dehydrator I have is only two years old so I'm assuming it's newer

What do you use to marinate? I need to burn up some venison roast before season starts again.

I use a handed down mixture from the family. It has Worcestershire, soy sauce, misc spices & water. I don't have a copy of the proportions handy; but its always turned out good in the past.

I've tried a few others that I've found online with decent results.
