Best way is to marinate the meat strips then dry until they're done (~8 hours for 1/4" thick pieces for most newer dehydrators)

 
I use a handed down mixture from the family. It has Worcestershire, soy sauce, misc spices & water. I don't have a copy of the proportions handy; but its always turned out good in the past.

I've tried a few others that I've found online with decent results.

 
Worcestershire , soy sauce, onion powder garlic powder, honey and red pepper flakes. I always mess with proportions.
