What's funny is I don't work with the MUTCD, I work with the CA-MUTCD, right? Well, it is 48" in the CA-MUTCD. I forget sometimes that California ADA guidelines are more restrictive than Federal. Obviously the exam would test you on Federal, but that is why I was thinking 48".

We discussed this topic in the SOPE course this week. The professor recommended we take the ADAAG and 28 CFR Part 35.151 which make up the 2010 ADA Stds. He also pointed out how much ADA stuff there is in the Green Book.

I have the AASHTO Ped Manual and am going to take the 2010 ADA so I don't plan on using the MUTCD for any ADA type questions unless the problem specifically instructs me to.

Definitely want to throw out any state specific guidelines for this exam (I'm in PA so some stuff is different also but not as much as in other states). This will be hard and I will need to remind myself not to just answer questions like this but to confirm by looking them up.
