I think it's really interesting seeing how a company compensates/doesn't compensate people for attempting the exam. For some, where the PE isn't necessary, I could see them not wanting to foot the bill...but my last company wanted me to get my PE, pretty much said I wouldn't get promoted if I didn't get it, but then didn't want to help financially/work load for me to actually put my pedal to the metal for the exam.My company was really accommodating to me during my prep.
I already had a copy of AISC (I work for a steel fabricator); however, they fronted the bill for the following:
