The thing about seismic is that it can seem straight forward regardless of whether you got the answer right or wrong, thanks to subscripts and exceptions. I feel like there aren't as many tricks in the survey exam, just make sure you are answering the question that was being asked.
I hear ya, still not super confident on the test but I think I was expecting the questions to at least have an extra few steps even accounting for all the obscure footnotes/exceptions. I suppose we shall hopefully see soon, next Monday at the earliest is my guess.

Between reading this forum and talking to a few people that got their license recently, I'm definitely more concerned about surveying. It seems like surveying is a bit more of a time crunch vs seismic.

@Aiden, @Mr. RaiderNutt and @WaterEng, I gave my test on the 11th and they informed me that there was a glitch in the Prometric results and I apparently failed. I did find the problems harder than I expected but felt it should have been good enough to pass. Can you guys please suggest how I can prepare better? I tried Mansour and Quomo and tried some practice tests (very old) and found the problems in the exam harder (requiring more time, which is scarce).
There are so many practice resources (PPI, school of PE, Reza, Mansour, and EET). Which one would you guys recommend. Will appreciate the help. Thanks

What are the odds for the results to be out this Thursday?
I would say low, this was the first month for retakes from all of the last half of last year. Likely there were many more exam takers. And while I don't understand why it would take longer to run the statistics based on number of exam takers, that seems to be the case in the past. Just sit back and relax and don't expect results till the 17th and maybe you will be pleasantly surprised.

I felt like I was able to really get a grasp of some material by just doing timed practice exams. I literally took the test as if I was sitting at the prometric test center with mask and ear plugs. EET has CBT test so that helped. After I completed the test I went back and looked at all the questions I missed and reviewed them and found where the references were in my EET book or other reference. EET allows you to take each of their 5 test up to 4 times.

I understand that everyone learns differently and my strategy may not work for everyone but thats what helped me.

I'm also still not sure if I passed, so we'll find out if my strategy worked.

I used CPESR and I thought that covered the exam pretty well.

For the last few months, at least, it looks like they've been getting results out quickly. Hopefully that's a good indication that the January results will be here within the next week.

Of course, they could always release results much later than that. Fingers crossed that's not the case! I took my exam on the 29th and am anxiously awaiting results - I can't imagine having taken my exam at the beginning of January.

I believe with the amount of people that took the exams this month is far more than the amount in the last few months b/c of COVID delay and having to wait to retake exams. I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a little longer to get our results.

Yes, it could very well be. Remember that they could take the exams between January-March, and I also believe there is limited capacity at Prometric.

I just hope results are out by next Thursday, the latest...I don't think the board ever released results on Fridays.

That's true - I agree more people will be doing re-takes this quarter, but they do have 3 months to do that...

Speculation doesn't get us anywhere, though. :) We will just have to wait and see, unfortunately!

Haha. Very true as well.

It's fun to speculate to kill time.
