First attempt at both the seismic and civil exams.
One shot...one kill. I'm ready to join the marines.
Some advice for those who need to go back:
Seismic:
Find a way to take Steve Hiner's class.
I can work equations as well as anyone. Hiner's seminar provided a framework for understanding how the equations came to be and it was invaluable in providing perspective. He does an outstanding job.
Surveying:
If, after multiple attempts, you are still trying to get through surveying, you probably want to consider an intro to surveying or site investigation class at your local institute of higher education. I am out of state (FL) and I made it through solely on the basis of my FSU site investigation class notes and the Mahalatti review manual.
Passing the seismic was important to me..I probably spent 70% of my time doing seismic. The survey stuff was important also but my attitude was that I could always go back and pass the survey with minimal studying if needed.
I'm just happy it's over.
