DO TELL.My mom is part of a conspiracy group that is rallying against the most nefarious government body that has been hiding secrets: the USGS.
I am very confused on how she gets into these situations.

YOU KNOW I LOVE TELLING YOU ABOUT MY MOM'S ZANY CONSPIRACY ADVENTURES.DO TELL.
Sounds like this guy’s....YOU KNOW I LOVE TELLING YOU ABOUT MY MOM'S ZANY CONSPIRACY ADVENTURES.
Pretty much she started following/watching this geologist guy on youtube when she was taking a break from purchasing lead-earrings from eBay for $0.01. The geologist is not a registered PG, but has made wild claims about how there are a ton of earthquakes that the USGS has not been reporting/lowering the intensity. Supposedly the USGS has been trying to shut this guy down (his own words) because he is telling the truth, and USGS doesn't want everyone to know about the seismic activity that is going to destroy the world! The guy even has a website or world thing that shows all the earthquakes that are going on right now that USGS IS HIDING BECAUSE THEY ARE EVIL (this is what I have gathered from my mom talking about it, I have not actually watched it). His name is Dutchsinse and he has weekly videos that his followers can watch. You know, like a soil-based cult?
Another one is Mary Greeley (who knew there were this many anti-USGS people?). Mom only recently started watching her videos, so I don't know too much about her, except she has wind chimes playing in the backgrounds sometimes.
I am trying to bring her to a USGS/PG-sponsored conference this weekend (no registration, just to come and have fun), and she said something about how the gas and electric lines are going to blow due to man-made disasters and shifting plates! But she did seem intrigued when I said the presentations were "an analysis of pebbly loess in the dwarf pine plains" and "analysis of groundwater quality of Shelter Island". My mom gets weird tracks to focus on sometimes, like when she got her new tiller, but I know she doesn't really believe this (I hope). Usually if I buy her an apple fritter or some mulch she quiets down.
Haha I love hearing them! I didn't even know there were anti-USGS conspiracy theories! There should be a Netflix documentary about this.YOU KNOW I LOVE TELLING YOU ABOUT MY MOM'S ZANY CONSPIRACY ADVENTURES.
