    Qualitative questions in PE

I recall 2 -3 problems that that could be answered straight away from experience. I took the test 28 yrs after graduation, so I'm not sure someone with just 6 yrs of experience could have answered then as easily.

    Disneyland PhotoPass+

I have used it four times. I think it is worth it. It allows me to get into the pictures with my family. I am an enthusiastic amateur and have a nice dSLR. I can usually get better pictures than the photopass photographer, but then I'm not in the photo. You do have to seek them out to make...

    2015 Mustang

My first car was a 1966 Wimbledon White C-code 289 V-8 coupe. SO to me, real mustangs have always looked like this:

    The New Transformers Trailer

That picture was my first thought, a new trailer to transport electrical transformers. :beat: Could be because the transformers toys were after my time.

Smarter than an 50 year old?

I only missed a couple, but I think this should be are you smarter than a 60 yr old. At 50, a lot of these were a little before my time. 10, 16 and 20 are stumpers.

Did you keep all your old homework?

I have kept only my textbooks form college. All notes, exams, paperwork is long gone...

What is your calculator of choice?

Sorry, the HP33s was also allowed.

What is your calculator of choice?

There seems to be a generational difference here. I started using HP RPN calculators in college and have continued ever since. I have noticed that HP is not as popular among the newer engineers. I took the EIT using the HP41C, I don't recall their being any calculator restrictions at the time...

    New Exam, New DATES!

Take it before you graduate. You'll never be more prepared than you are in your senior year of college. My professors encouraged us to take the EIT during our senior year. Glad they did, I took it in April of my senior year, passed with no specific studying for the test.

How To Hide Your House From Google Maps

Yes, I think it's better to "hide in plain sight". ;)

    WTH is Google up to?

What would the purpose of such a center? I guess move it into an area after a disaster? Anyway powering a data center with OTEC is an interesting idea. Where can you find the patent?

    WTH is Google up to?

That's an interesting idea. That could be it.

Any limit to amount of reference material?

Same Here. Used just a few references. Brought, the MERM, Cameron Hydraulic Data, ASME steam tables, and bound notes from a ME review course (not one I took, but a friend gave me a copy of the notes).

    ME lindeburg Sample exam..worth it?

I wouldn't bother with it. I reviewed parts of the MERM and did an NCEES practice exam and passed.

    Fingerprinting for PE License Renewal

Is this a foregone conclusion, or is there a chance the legislature will repeal it? Does NSPE have a position on this? I may need to apply for a Texas license in the next year for a possible upcoming project.

What was your search engine before Google?

Lycos, but as I recall back in those days before Google, you really had to use more than one to find what you wanted. Started using google in '98 and dropped all of the others. First browser for me was Netscape 0.9 beta (1995)

    T&F two questions.

Cameron Hydraulic Data is a great reference for Fluids and Fluid Machines as well as a bunch of other general engineering subjects. I prefer it to the Crane TP410. Take it to the exam, http://www.flowserve.com/Products/Pumps/Cameron-Hydraulic-Data-Book,en_US I have a copy from 1984, I assume...
