Just curious where on the DPOR website results are listed?
As far as I know, they don't list the results on their website..

But they do update the database at the license look up.

So, when the results are out, you can go to DPOR/License Look Up page..

Enter your last name and check on "Profeesional Engineer"..

Then.. Pray..

Keep your fingers crossed..

Take a deep breath..

and Enter..

You will see your name shows up if you have passed.

They don't list the actually result, what they do is add you to their database of registered engineers if you passed. Use the license search they have, http://www.dpor.virginia.gov/regulantlooku...FTOKEN=27077092, then click the check box for professional engineers and search away.

This will help if NCEES doesn't release results directly to us. DPOR will add passing candidates to their database as they send out the letters, so at best, this beats the letter by 2-3 days. Either way, we are locked until NCEES releases the results, which they claim will happen this week. At best, the DPOR site will show something next week (I would guess).

Can anyone confirm how we in VA will receive results?

NCEES website or DPOR letter

That is a million dollars question. Though we will know soon if not by the end of the day. If NCEES does not send you email then DPOR it is. I am smart, right? :dancingnaughty: :dancingnaughty:

You won't hear anything today or this week for that matter due to the fact that your state like mine (I'm from PA) use PCS's testing service.

In an email conversation with them today I asked them that since the results were released today is there any chance that I will be able to get my results today or tomorrow.

Reply:

"No sir. They were sent to EES, and after reconciliation you will receive them. Sometime next week more than likely."

So take that for what it is worth. I have no idea what kind of "reconciliation" needs to be done but it sounds to me like PCS isn't going to get this "reconciliation" completed until next week.

We can still hope otherwise.

Why NCEES will be giving us wrong information then? Why?

I just called NCEES. They said that they released the results to the state and that they had to wait for permission from the state to release the results to us.

This could push VA into next week.

Does EES = PCSHQ? My understanding of things is that the results go from NCEES->PCSHQ->State Board->You. Is there another agency in there somewhere (EES)? It kinds of seems like a cluster fark....

I just emailed DPOR licensing specialist, and was informed that they expect to recieve results sometime in January. The email said that they had not recieved any results as of today. I'm assuming the results must go through PCS first, then to DPOR. Hopefully I'm wrong and our scores will be available on the NCEES website.

from NCEES:

NCEES scoring has released the results to all state boards.

However, your state board has the control over when and how the results are released, not NCEES. They may be utilizing the NCEES system but NCEES does not make the decision on when the results are available to examinees.

Why must there be so much bureaucracy involved just to relay an exam result?
