way back when i was working on a hospital project we kept submitting these colored CMUs. they kept getting rejected because it wasn't white enough. and they couldn't get any whiter without painting them but the architects didn't want them painted.

must find buffet for lunch today.
The only one up there as a advertised buffet is at the Mayflower and it isn't all that special.
ugh, or Geraldos. and Geraldos the only thing good is the meatballs. I am not paying $13 for Ceasar salad and meatballs

...Bleach?
I forgot how they got it white but I think it was more along the lines of the architect being in bed with one of the block companies. The last supplier we used got approved and his block was no whiter than the others that where submitted.

Thats why I didn't mention it. Been there a few times, but other than the salad and meatballs, it wasn't worth it. Used to walk there for linch from time to time.

Their pizza is pretty good though. And I didn't mention pizza sluts buffet cause its just a sham and not worth trying to go unless u want one choice of cold pizza or the rush to get something fresh.

A Senior Project Manager had been retired three months before he visited his old workplace. He wandered into one office and found a draftsman laboring earnestly. He hardly looked up the whole time he chatted with the retiree. Sensing that he was interrupting an important project, the engineer was about to excuse himself when the draftsman threw down his instruments and sat back. "For Pete's sake," he said, "it's just dawned on me that I no longer have to look busy when you appear."
