Major topic of discussion on my first date with this girl: My cat probably has kidney disease and it's better to put him down than let him suffer.

I do not. She is the one that brought up kidney disease and euthanasia. I was just complaining about my cat pissing everywhere.

Maybe your cat is insecure and feels the need to mark everything to prevent a second, cooler cat from moving in. I diagnose your cat with anxiety and low self-esteem.

Perhaps Dex's cat has an ailment of this sort. Hopefully not as serious though. Sorry to hear the news Wil.

Yeah, I knew it was probably something serious due to the weight loss he's had over the last few weeks. I have a severe distrust in vets, though, so I was reluctant to take him in. Now it seems it might be a one-way trip for the kitty.

When I got my WI license, they required a bunch of documents that young ppl rarely have, like a landline telephone statement, a bank statement from a local bank, mailed by the bank (online bankers can't print off a statement), or mortgage papers. A lease doesn't prove residency, apparently. The only acceptable thing we had was a utility bill, which was in my husband's name, so they turned me away. I had to return with my marriage license and the utility bill to prove that I was married to a legitimate WI resident to get a license.

When we first got Tennessee licenses, they accepted way more documents and accepted that my husband and I were married based on our same last name and identical previous address.

My conclusion is that WI hates young people moving into their state, while Tennessee wants no barriers to TN residency.

what truely is the difference between lease and rent? I see the two used interchangeabley and independently all the time.

Rent is month to month typically, where the contract owner has the ability to change terms with adequate notification. It is automatically renewed unless the renter or contract owner provides written notification. Lease is fixed term, terms are locked, and you're liable for balance if you break the lease. They also do not self-renew.

I come home one particular evening
The landlady said, "You got the rent money yet?",
I said, "No, can't find no job"
Therefore I ain't got no money to pay the rent
She said "I don't believe you're tryin' to find no job"
Said "I seen you today you was standin' on a corner,
Leaning up against a post"
I said "But I'm tired, I've been walkin' all day"
She said "That don't confront me,
Long as I get my money next Friday"
Now next Friday come I didn't have the rent,
And out the door I went
