Anyone familiar with analysis and/or governing equation for seepage:

q = K (x) H (x) [Nf/Nd]

Q = q (x) width of earth berm weir

Where; Q = Seepage

K = Hydraulic Conductivity

H = Head Difference

Nf = Number of flow paths

Nd = Number of equipotential line pressure drops

Is this a "real-life" problem or a "study" problem?

Timber,

You will need to look at drawdown, which you use another

equation for it. I can not remember the equation, but you can

easily find it on any Hydraulic or water resources book or CERM.

Good luck

Yes, the CERM does have a good illustration of the seepage from flow nets. The earth dam shown in 21-8 looks good. Thanks guys
