some folks in my office group hold onto the old culture where that's frowned upon. it's very frustrating 

 I know I complained in another thread that I feel I'm underpaid, but I've been with my current company almost three years and it has it's pros:

1.   I've never had to fill in a time sheet (how many hours worked on each project, etc.)

2.  I was able to take as much time off to study and they didn't consider it vacation time.

3.  They don't even keep track of my vacation here.  I just take off whenever and I guess as long as I don't abuse it they're ok.

4.  I have my own office.  Previously with other companies I had a cubicle.

My commute is 42 mins one way so hopefully one day I can do the telecommute thing.

I just discovered this thread.  Before that I just thought we were all just sitting around waiting for the results!

And it'll be 10x worse for the people in the Day 2+ states. Trust me, the worst possible feeling is when the results are out, and you're still waiting.

I can attest to this.
