I'm at least somewhat confident that the North American continental landmass as we know it wouldn't survive whatever terrifying cataclysm from hell that started a tsunami of that magnitude.

At that point, the aliens that bred us for food have realized we have too many diseases to be used as food. So they are wiping the planet clean.

It was already running out of steam by the time Sci Fi was airing new episodes. They picked it up in its sixth season and ran through season 10!

Fell free to complain about Sci Fi and it's influence on SGA all you want.
