You should be good, then.Honestly, already got one. Fairly confident I passed, but will be at something of loss if I didn't.
Taking it twice isn't bad, though. I know two structural guys who are really bright, and studied their butts off, but both had to take it twice. That was a few years ago, and now they're both partners at their respective firms.Honestly, already got one. Fairly confident I passed, but will be at something of loss if I didn't.
Definitely had some sticker shock.Knowing how much Mines costs, that sounds about right.
We have the whole spectrum of specialties here and multiple states covered.Anyone want to start up a side MEP+S company?
My college is up to like Havard level price tag but not Harvard level education.Definitely had some sticker shock.
We use Skype.Do any of you use Microsoft Teams at work? Since Skype is getting phased out, they've been switching us over since like June. And some divisions have had their Skype disabled so they're forced to use Teams. It's shocking that they left the GIF option enabled.
Haha, yep. I personally like teams, confusing UI aside (I can get used to it)Do any of you use Microsoft Teams at work? Honestly, I feel like a good portion of structural folks have to take it twice. That exam has a whopping 13 (roughly) required design codes to pull from, and you almost have to take the exam once, just to know what kind of off-the-wall questions they're going to pull from the codes.Taking it twice isn't bad, though. Based on what I've seen, geotech doesn't sound like a fun specialty to me.Honestly, I feel like a good portion of structural folks have to take it twice. The geotechnical exam is much more theoretical. Like, 40-60 percent conceptual questions kind of theoretical, so if you have the concepts and general practice firmly down, you're generally good... Generally.
I'm used to it (mostly) now, it isn't that badHaha, yep. I personally like teams, confusing UI aside (I can get used to it)
i've done that too. i love it. but some of the gifs are questionable lolWe are in the middle of transitioning to Teams.
There are days I post entirely in gif to my team.

I enjoy it, but it's not for everyone, for sure.Based on what I've seen, geotech doesn't sound like a fun specialty to me.
