There's nothing wrong with that. I did all the gen ed for my BS at community college, then transferred to my uni via a guaranteed transfer program.

ETA: Woot, tops!
I think this way or the way @Chattaneer did it are the smartest ways to go. Makes so much more financial sense.

I was looking at "Intro to French" yesterday at local schools. It's like 400$ at the community college or 1000$ at the university.

**** that noise. College costs are getting way out of hand

Heck, I did dual enrollment for two years so all those courses were free.

I spent the same amount of money for two years at the community college as I did the first semester at Mines.

It's absurd.

I should write up one of those "This is how I studied" posts, but start with high school and list literally everything up until taking the exam.

Let's be honest, everything I've ever done, at any time, to anyone, for any reason, whatsoever, has led up to me taking the exam.

I feel real bad for the reddit users that are all like "How do I ask for a raise when I pass?" and "What are you going to do first when you pass?" and "What would you have done differently?"

I feel like there isn't enough hazing going on with these users to bring them down to earth and preparing for the reality of not passing.
I'm really not sure what I'm going to do if I don't pass... But mostly because I put in way more effort than what I thought I'd need, and I'm really not sure how I could have better prepared for the exam.

A review course, maybe? Treat it like the Power exam and hope for the luck of the draw? I don't know... Not going to put too much effort into it until results come out.

Yeaaaaah.  I was looking into spanish classes for the college/community colleges near me.  Cost per credit is soooooo much cheaper here in the midwest than on the east coast.  The college credit was $250/credit.  I think community was like $100/credit.

So much cheaper than $450/credit hour at my state school.

Maybe find a good job that allows you to learn information that would be useful on the exam?
