I encouraged people in the EE/power thread yesterday to do it. It sounds like a bunch of people reported it afterwards. Sending them another message can't hurt.I need to contact NCEES about the double question on Power (which im sure they know about by now) but also the lack of professionalism of the proctors
If you failed the exam, which you didn't, you would get the exam survey soon. That's when they ask about the site conditions and proctors.I need to contact NCEES about the ... lack of professionalism of the proctors
Hahahahaha, I drank until early on Saturday morning and then had kickboxing at 11:30am. It was rough, but I prevailed due to my big glass of water I drank before bed!OMG, I would die. 5:15 is my wake up time. One drink and I'm done for 2 days.
Yeah same. Though I'm trying to focus on one thing right now just to get it out the door. Invoicing ughhhhhhhh.Ha ha ha ha ha ha ah haa. Oh god, I would have been killed in my previous job if it was a 'do one thing at a time'-philosophy! I mean, I think I was juggling like tasks like "Finish FER", but that one task had like eighteen other tasks under it. But then I was juggling other reports at the same time.
Nah, i did offer. But we're in this huge 15yo SUV so im happy to not be driving itI thought maybe you were taking turns?
I like your faith in me. It does make me feel better. If you failed the exam, which you didn't, you would get the exam survey soon. That's when they ask about the site conditions and proctors.
Which makes it all the more crushing when you don't pass. T_TI like your faith in me. It does make me feel better.
Another coworker on this trip learned last night I didnt have my PE and was utterly shocked. She could have sworn I had it and assumed I did. She said "for what its worth, youre a very competent engineer and intelligent. Youve totally got it"
Yeah, exactly. I have numerous incompetent coworkers who have passed. Tbh I don't hold her in very high regard in terms of her work product (&im not alone)Which makes it all the more crushing when you don't pass. T_T
Same thing happened to me. First two times, kept getting crushed by people saying, "you're super smart and competent, you'll pass!", failing, and then seeing people who were way less smart passing on their first try.Yeah, exactly. The Power PE really is about luck, I swear
Which is why I told basically no one I was taking it the last 2 times. I didnt want the pressure of dealing with endless questions for weeks about it. I told who needed to know (my direct boss, my PM). Our office manager knew on Tuesday and she was one of my references for my application. This was my last shot on this application.Same thing happened to me. I'm just happy it's done so I don't need to worry about it anymore.
Wait, what? Why? Are you in a three-strikes then you need to reapply state?Which is why I told basically no one I was taking it the last 2 times. The application is good for 2 years so its 3-4 attempts on each application depending when you submitted it.Wait, what? Why? Are you in a three-strikes then you need to reapply state?
WHaaaaaaaata? Only 2-years? I was lucky to do NY. They're pretty strict on getting your application approved, but once it is I think it's good for unlimited tries/as many years as you need once they give you the "okay". Or it might have been your application is good/never expires, but after 3 attempts if you failed you need to prove you took a review test prior to registering for the next exam. The application is good for 2 years so its 3-4 attempts on each application depending when you submitted it.
Edit: top again!
