Question: An 8-IN diameter pipe under 100psi of pressure discharges through a 2-IN diameter Nozzle.  Neglecting energy loss, the flow rate through the nozzle, in cfs, is most nearly.

I know the answer is 2.65 cfs.

I'm trying to answer the question using the energy equation. V^2/2g + P/gamma + Za = V^2/2g + P/gamma + Zb however I cannot figure out how to write it out.  I figured it out just by solving one side of the equation where Q = sqrt (230.68ft x .122sf)/2 (I know I didn't show my work). I would like help on how to write both sides of the equation.
