One of our clients in the Columbus, OH area is seeking an experienced engineer to design and develop data acquisition and digital signal processing cards for radar tracking and RCS measurement systems.

- The DSP Engineer will act as a technical lead, and must be able to provide direction to junior engineers and collaborate effectively with the software development team.

- Must demonstrate a background with multi-layer digital board design and FPGA development in addition to logic simulation experience.

- Must have experience with DSP and filert design (such as decimation, FIR, and/or IIR).

- Must be able to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues.

- Experience with VHDL is a big plus.

- Other beneficial experience include: Digital FPGA filter design, communications protocols, Xilinx (Virtex II) or Altera FPGA design, and MATLAB.

- A background in radar imaging and tracking will set you apart.

- Understanding of RF and electromagnetic theory is a plus.

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineer or related field is required, Masters Degree preferred.

- Candidates local to the Columbus area are preferred, but relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

- Minimal travel may be required.

- Must be a US Citizen.

- The company prefers to structure this position as a contract-to-hire opportunity.
