Chazen has an immediate opening for a Director of Municipal Engineering Services. Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering Services, this position is responsible for leading a team of project managers, design professionals and technical support staff working with public sector (Municipal ) clients and projects throughout the Hudson Valley. The position is located in our Poughkeepsie, NY office.
In this position, you are expected to be a hands-on manager, mentor and coach in working with our talented staff.

- Meeting financial and business development goals
Qualified candidates will have 15+ years of civil/municipal engineering experience in a multi-disciplinary consulting firm, with demonstrated career progression, including at least 5 years in a staff management role. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related degree (MS or ME is preferred but not required) and a current NYS Professional Engineer license. The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of our industry (with NYS experience preferred) and regulatory programs; solid organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to convey information clearly and effectively through verbal and written communications. Public presentation skills are essential. Competency in the Microsoft Office suite required; AutoCAD competency desirable.
