I have been licensed in my home State of Michigan since 1983. Renewals every two years since then. Everyone's renewal date was October 31st. This year I completed my 30 hours of CEU''s in September, so I immediately renewed my License for another two years. My renewal date is now September 6, 2024!

September 6th is NOT the date that I submitted my renewal application. I received almost 2 additional months of license, without explanation, for the same standard Fee. No mention on the State Licensing Board website regarding this change. My acceptance message from the State for my 2021-2023 (now 2024) renewal did include a bold font statement alerting me that my new renewal date WILL NOT be the same as my historical renewal date. So I know it was not an error but a deliberate change.

Any clue as to what is driving this change?
