I have both Hiner and AEI books. I am curious if I should still have to buy the ASCE or IBC books or will the books be enough? I also have the AEI pdfs and test.
You should have every book listed on the reference list! There will be gimme type questions to test that you have all of them.I have both Hiner and AEI books. I am curious if I should still have to buy the ASCE or IBC books or will the books be enough? I also have the AEI pdfs and test.
Was the AEI material all you took to the exam? Anything you wish you would have done Differently?Got the email this morning. Passed! So relieved. I would 100% recommend AEI if you're looking for a course. I didn't see a question on the exam where I was completely lost.
I took the exam yesterday. Everything I needed for the exam was included in the AEI manual or the handouts provided during the course. I brought a hard copy of ASCE 7-16, but I never touched it during the exam. The only material I referenced in ASCE 7-16 was for special inspections, and Dr. Ibrahim provided that chapter as part of the course handouts. Was the AEI material all you took to the exam? You can only sit for the CA Seismic after you submit an application to the CA Board and it is approved. You will also need to pass the CA Engineering Surveying exam.I recently passed my PE Civil-Structural Exam and applied for licensure in my home state. Do anyone recommend taking CA seismic exam and apply for licensure, coz I don't want to write the exams again again. Compared to PE exam, how tough is it ?
Please advise
i would recommend it only if your work requires you to get a California PE. otherwise a PE in your home state is plenty.I recently passed my PE Civil-Structural Exam and applied for licensure in my home state.
