Going home from weekend Chicago trip. Hoping the Amtrak is only a little late.
How is that train? I think it's the same line the locals here take from ND to the Twin Cities. Beats the 9 hour drive.
It's the Empire Builder that runs from the Pacific NW to Chicago and back. It's always late getting into Chicago, sometimes by many hours. The way home is only a little late, since western WI is early in the route. We like the train; it's much easier than long drives because our tiny human does not have to be strapped in a carseat and screaming the whole way. We got home on time and with minimal toddler freak outs; very successful trip.
Minot to Minneapolis and back is pretty popular by me as there are a lot of transplants in town. Only slightly longer than driving and both directions it's overnight, so you can just sleep on the trip. I was thinking of doing that for a long weekend this summer.

at home (and just made cinnamon rolls) post

No one here wants to know about your cinnamon ring!
:juggle: :juggle:

Guess I'll keep the talk to something safe like bacon or spam...

Nevermind, the whole cinnamon ring thing is an old EB running joke. Google 'best breakup letter.'
Thanks for the explanation that it is an old EB running joke... (I did see the "best breakup letter" on google-funny) I was wondering how the hell I was supposed to know I wasn't supposed to say cinnamon rolls! Now I know.

:)
