Third times a charm. Passed Civil / Structural. First two times Structural 1. I will be going back for Structural I & II now that all the pressure is off.

Great feeling getting that Pass notice.

Wow, it's finally over! I passed on the second attempt. My only advice to those that we unsuccessful this time: take a refresher course! It really helped me. The passing rate for repeat takers is relatively low; however, the course I took the passing rate is 89%. Big difference. Hang in there and don't give up.

Just waiting in Florida for results. Does anybody have an educated guess for results? My guess week of June 22.
Florida results are in. I was notified via email by both NCEES and Florida board

Congrats USF -

Also, with the way the economy is going, passing the general civil gives you more flexibility. If you *really* want to follow-up with one of the Struc. exams though - I'd just take STR2, forget the SE1. It's easier and after having passed the civil/struc. the STR2 is all you'd need for most states to recognize you as a specialist if you really, really wanted to do high-end structural work.

The sheet of paper that you were provided with your pass letter probably says something like 10-12 weeks. They are not kidding. They take their time.
After passing the test you wont get a LIC. Until you complete an additional course, check with FL Eng. Board.

I don't think you need the building code course to get your license. You need the course before you can file drawings to obtain a building permit with your license.

You have to take the Forida Building Code Course if you pare filing "plans for permitting in Florida". You receive your license card, certificate and number approximately eight to ten weeks after receiving your pass letter.

Taking the course is not mandatory for getting the license.

I passed the electrical power exam. First attempt. Congrats to all.

Just wanted to let all the new Florida PE's know that PE numbers are out. I officially have my PE number. Whoo Hoo.

When can I get my seal? Do I have to wait to hear from the board or can I get it now? How does that work with the code core course that we have to take? Now that I have the number I can sign up for and take the course.
