I think the update is automatically run by the computer, but who knows.
Yes, I just checked the data base and this is what the message I got!

"Our records are currently being updated. Please check later.

This information is updated Monday through Friday - Last updated: JUL-23-2009"

So, all those who have passed may be able to see their names in the database as soon as the refresh is complete!

Good luck!

If anyone receives their results from outside of CA please let me know. My letter is going all the way to houston. I looked back to the last couple of times the test was given and i found an instance where a guy from Louisiana received results 2 days after they were mailed, I.E. the same day as the folks from So-Cal received letters. Im hopeful i will get my letter today.

For the last five administrations of the exam, the database was not updated until a few days after everyone had their results. Believe me, people have to input the data, and there is nobody there working overtime on the California budget to update the database. Almost everyone should have their letters by today or Monday.

Of course, I know this will not stop anyone from continuing to check the DB every three seconds. Been there, done that.

I think you are right. I went back to the database and I see that the update is now complete with the new date July 24- 2009. Then I checked for license numbers beyond 74457 (supposedly the last license number issued for Civil so far) and there is no information there. So, I believe the database is not updated with the new licenses issued.

Look at it this way.

After enduring this entire overly long, ridiculous, inefficient California process, does it strike you that they would have some sophisticated robot to automatically update the database over the weekend? Or that there are a bunch of workers assigned to get that stuff in there on Saturday or Sunday?

Or if it was just a matter of hitting a switch to link an internal DB to the web, they could have done this Thursday afternoon.

If they were that anxious to get people the results, it wouldn't take 6 weeks longer than every other state!

Good luck. THe wait is almost over.

Passed!!! Electrical (Power Discipline). I live in the San Bernadino area (Southern California). I checked my name on the site and it was not there. Do not use the site as an accurate indicator of passing.

Congrats!

Got my results yesterday, passed two out of three Civil PE modules: general 8-hour and surveying. :) I did not do too hot on seismic. I believe I need to take a class on seismic to pass it. :construction: Probably going to take Hiner's class in Pleasanton.

Just got the mail and I passed my Surveying exam, which was the last hurdle for me. It feels great to be a California PE after all the hard work and agonizing wait for the results! Good luck everyone!

I am in Sacramento - got my results yesterday... I passed!!! Only had to take the surveying exam... yea!!! I just checked the database and my name is not on it..

Congrads!!! I too will have the same hurdle to jump. Took the PE for the first time last April, passed 2 out of 3. Surveying kicked my arse! 26 out of 50. The sad part is that I studied for that part the most, more than anything else. Like everyone in my firm said, it's hard to pass surveying because we never see it at work. I swear it was more fatigue and time than anything, I didn't sleep a wink the night before because I kept thinking about the general exam (I should have chosen Geo-depth). Anyways, I am very happy with my result. Thank you everyone on EB for your support for the past several of months.

I just got my result, I passed PE Mechanical-HVAC

I live in Los Angeles

I was a 6th timer!! Yes 6th timer!!! so for people who did not passed this time "Do not give up at any cost" . Be honest with yourself and put in the time that you need to get through it. Don't allow yourself to get down for too long, think positive and believe.

Today is one of the happiest days in my life.
