IMO we were soldiers is one of the few movies I have seen that portray the job resposibilities of each member of a battalion, from BN CMDR , CSM, captains, LT's, NCO's. Etc..

most war movies, even the "good ones" totally screw that up... Even Band of brothers is a Close second....

I read lone survivor, depressing book in all reality, probably too "realistic", I decided to skip the movie...

I sufferd through 3 hours of Deer Hunter yesterday morning...

I really have no idea why anyone thought to give that movie some awards.....

I caught the anti Vietnam thing of the movie, but all their pain came from being POW's and mistreatment at the hands of the Vietnamese...

Maybe I missed something?
