anyone use those 10yr battery life smoke detectors?

I don't think I would want to test that out

I imagine they're UL listed. I'm just not sure about it.

I've been looking at the smoke detectors that sync together. So if one goes sounds an alarm, they all will.

that would be helpful if the there was a problem in the basement, it would make the upstairs alarm sound too.

The thought of not having to change batteries is nice though.

I'm disappointed with the Kiddie alarms. They were not cheap and I have had 2 fail in the last 7 years. Maybe they've reached their end of life. I guess I should check to see how long the should last.

Ours do that in our house because they were wired into the house wiring.
