I have a meeting at the school at 1. Much more efficient than adding the commute time...so here I am.

It's not fair to the secretary sort of folks that have to be at their desk is the most common reason for not allowing. But really they don't trust us and there isn't a system in place to monitor the people at home working. Heck they don't even want people starting their workday too early if there isn't a manager also on that early work schedule.

They really don't care what hours we work, as long as 9-4 is covered. Most of us just do 8-4:30, but a few do the 9-6

the word processing unit was just disbanded in 2012 when one of the two remianing ladies retired...even though we all have had our own desk top computers for years.

oh believe me I comtemplate looking all the time. but it would be trading a 50-55 minute commute each way to one that is at least an hr. Really another thing holding me back is the unknown with mr snicks health insurance at work. COme January when they give the guys an idea of how they are going to handle AMA. This way we have a better idea what to expect on that front when job hunting.
