“Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the clouds of war, it is humanity hanging on a cross of iron.”
Dwight D. Eisenhower

It's the opening line from a play titled "Stonewall Country" which used to play at the Lime Kiln Theater in Lexington, VA. Really an awesome play at an awesome venue that stopped playing in 2004, but then was brought back because of a huge outcry of the locals and continued to play for 5 more years until it ended in 2009 after a 25 year run of sold out crowds every night every year (or something like that).

“From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day.”
William Shakespeare, Henry V

"All right, they're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us...they can't get away this time"

- Lewis B. "Chesty" Puller, USMC

Our hero, our hero, claims a warriors heart.

I tell you, I tell you, the dragonborn comes.

With a voice wielding power of the ancient Nord art,

Believe, believe, the Dragonborn comes.

It's an end to the evil, of all Skyrim's foes.

Beware, beware, the Dragonborn comes.

For the darkness has passed, and the legend yet grows,

You'll know, you'll know the Dragonborns come.
