Here are a couple of problems I found in PPI practice problems book:

1. a three phase, synchronous AC motor, 440V (L-L), Xs=j20. No load field current is adjusted for minimum I(a) when I(f) is 5ADC. at this time input power is 900W. what is the rotor current required for this motor so it can provide 10kVAR?

2. 440V, three phase, 45HP, 93% efficient. Rotor current is adjusted until line current is minimum, occuring when I®=8.2A. What should be I® if motor power factor required is 0.8?

I have the answers but for some reason they don't look right to me. Feel free to take a shot at them.
