Required Reference Materials for CA Seismic Exam

The BPELSG site lists the following references for the Seismic exam:

1. 2019 CBC, Volume 2
2. ASCE 7-16
3. SDPWS-2015
4. TMS 402/602-16
5. ATC-20
6. ATC-20-1 Field Manual
7. Design of Wood Structures ASD/LRFD; 7th Edition, 2014; Breyer, Fidley, Cobeen

What references do I actually need to bring into the exam? I have copies of ASCE 7-16 and SDPWS-2015. I'll also be getting the AEI course textbook (Fundamentals of Seismic Analysis and Design of Buildings) and AEI course practice exam book. Should I obtain copies of any of the other references or am I well covered with the ones I have.

I'm thinking I should print out some sections of the 2019 CBC as well. Will I really just need chapters 16 and 17 or will the rest of the chapters possibly come in handy?

Just for the sake of clarity, the list provided on the BPELSG site, Special Civil Engineering Examinations Reference List - Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists, is solely describing the references used towards developing the exam content so that examinees are aware. It is not intended to be "required reference materials".

AEI gives you all the references you would ever need. You don't technically need any other code.

I have an unused Hiner workbook (includes all code references) for the CA Seismic Principles Exam, and an unused set of three practice tests from AEI. These two resources are more than sufficient to pass the CA Seismic Principles Exam. Message me if you'd like to purchase these.
