I am so glad I am getting my resume cleaned up, and meeting with the the MBA Executive Career consultant next week.

My boss prioritized my work on Tuesday to put in a bunch of orders for 13 projects that aren't due for weeks out over completing out three project for traffic that I got completion reports on late Friday before the holiday weekend. We normally have a couple of days, but all three projects were expedited up to the executive level. Well, my boss told me to put in the orders for later projects over updating the completed projects. I did it after throwing up a protest. The orders took two full days to put into our system.

Today, I get a call from him along with three emails stating all of the completed projects have been expedited. He complains to me that I am trying to get him fired or something to that effect. He is getting worse as a manager in making strategic decisions, and it is hurting all of the engineers in our department. This is the guy who worked his way up as an installer with no college now over an engineering group mostly used as tech writers.

I just had to rant. Everyone in my department knew what was going on as of Tuesday when my direction got changed. Too bad the upper management doesn't fix deficiencies.

Anyways, hopefully I can find something great now armed with a PE, experience, and two graduate degrees.

Dang... the Executive Career specialist is really polishing up my resume, and already has three fun looking smaller companies lined out.

Thank you all.

The boss is now pulling the same stuff with all of the other engineers in the group. I am documenting my issues just in case.

A normal manager would try to see what from my MBA could be used to grow and expand our group which would mean promotions for the manager and engineers within the group.
