Hello All,

I am looking to buy and keep a good water resources engineering reference book to keep for life :D (a forever bond) since I do now own one. and I have felt the need to get one since I did my bachelor in water engineering and ms in civil-water resources.  I need it to be easy to understand. I will also be taking the Water Depth PE and would very much like to be able to use it as a reference.

I do have these two books that I can use for hydrology reference and water and waste water reference.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/067399337X/ref=pd_cp_14_1?ie=UTF8&pd_rd_i=067399337X&pd_rd_r=ZGNZTKA7FZDT5K87MMN8&pd_rd_w=yicTh&pd_rd_wg=1AIZO&psc=1&refRID=ZGNZTKA7FZDT5K87MMN8 which i had for my masters and barely used it...

https://www.amazon.com/Water-Supply-Pollution-Control-8th/dp/0132337177 used this for my FE. comfortable with it

Also I have heard a lot about getting Metcalf's Water and Wastewater book...do you guys think it is a good thing too have for PE considering I already have the above reference?

Thanks!!!!  :p

IMHO, Metcalf and Eddy is only going to be helpful to you on test day if you're very familiar with it and where to find info. It might be helpful to you while studying. If you work in wastewater, it will be good for work. My copy is currently open right now on my desk.

A book that I found useful while studying was the "Water and Wastewater Calculations Manual." (https://www.amazon.com/Water-Wastewater-Calculations-Manual-Third/dp/0071819819/ref=mt_hardcover?_encoding=UTF8&me=) I bought the second addition: (https://www.amazon.com/Water-Wastewater-Calculations-Manual-2nd/dp/0071476245/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1476462535&sr=1-2&keywords=water+and+wastewater+calculations+manual)

I brought my Water Resources book that I used in college. It was by Ram Gupta.

At this point, I would stick to the references you're used too. Adding more might not be worth it.

If money is a priority, check Amazon.  In the past I've found PPI to sell some of their books on Amazon around 20% cheaper and with less shipping cost then if you purchased it through their personal website.
