Passed...do you need PDH?

Now that you passed, do you need to get the necessary PDH credits for your first renewal?  Or does it not start until your first full 2 year cycle?  PA rules do not specify any waiver on PDH for first partial cycle.

This will vary depending on individual state guidelines. In Florida there is a cutoff (which has already passed i believe) at which point one only has to pay the fee to renew if you are a new PE.

If you cannot find the information I would call the PA board and ask.

I researched that same thing being from PA myself and found this:

 (2)    AN INDIVIDUAL APPLYING FOR INITIAL LICENSURE AND 
REGISTRATION SHALL BE EXEMPT FROM THE REQUIREMENT SET FORTH IN 
SUBSECTION (A) FOR THE LICENSURE PERIOD IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING 
INITIAL LICENSURE AND REGISTRATION.

(a) In order to help safeguard life, 
health and property and to promote the public welfare, the 
practice of professional engineering, professional land 
surveying and professional geology in this Commonwealth requires 
continuing professional competency.

So I would assume that means that we are exempt from having to complete the 24 PDHs for the 2019 Renewal.

PA (and most states) exempt PDH's on the first renewal.

Aye... Texas does - but you have to properly mark it on your renewal or you're subject to an audit.
