@bassist one time in a college class we had to give a group presentation and our topic was like influential artists of music genres. For example, my portion was on reggae, so I chose to discuss Bob Marley. I think someone did country and probably did like Johnny Cash or something. (This was nearly 15 years ago, bad memory….I can’t remember all the different genres we covered).
Well a girl in our group who was covering alternative rock insisted on doing hers on Fall Out Boy, much to the group’s chagrin. We begged her to do Nirvana or Radiohead or even Oasis….just NOT Fall Out Boy. She. Would. Not. Budge.
During her part of the presentation she talked a looooot about the bassist Pete Wentz…and every time she said bassist, she pronounced it “bASSist”, like the fish. And she said it at least 3 times. It was so cringey.
I come from a non-English speaking country and I have seen many people pronouncing bass as bASS :ROFLMAO::LOL:. I don't judge them but damn that's so cringy lol.

BTW, Lively Up Yourself was the first song I covered after I started learning bass. Love Reggae

I think this could be a fun get-together event in real life if we all can watch the result posted on the big screen and we should get a paid half-day off at work to cheer for fellow SE takers and ourselves.
