I used to live in an apartment that was slab on concrete, and the furnace blew air from ceiling registers so my feet were always cold. I've used these ultra thick insulating socks, which help. I also have a pair of fuzzy moccasins (kinda like uggs) and they work better. My feet can get sweaty though.
Yeah, my feet never get sweaty.  I def think I fucked them up somehow during my eventing days/getting thrown into jumps and dealing withneurotic thoroughbreds, so they're always cold and full of pain during the winter.  Sucks because I'll be in bed, totally toasty, but mah feeties will be sad blocks of ice.

*edit* Yes!  Tops talking bout mah feeties!

I agree. middle school pride is extra weird to me
lol. So I'm occasionally in situations where I have to use a simulator to show the damage and effects of a nuclear strike to emergency planners. There's an unclassified public tool online and I ALWAYS use my middle school's address as ground zero in those demos.

I often see these at Marshall's. Often they are "imperfect" so there is no lifetime guarantee, but they are also about half price. Wool is a good material for warm socks!
I went to their factory sale in college. You could buy a 30gal bag of seconds for 10$. No guarantees there's a match in the bag. I went through matching them the best I could, kept a few pairs (one of which I still have), and donated the rest to a mens shelter. it was a fun matching project

I want my PE'ness to be out in the open for everyone to see. I'm not ashamed.

Going back to school pride, I think those with it were more involved in sports and all the happenings with that.

Matching socks are for the birds.

Yeah, I got a kinda nice one from Costco and a little disappointed, tbh, since the air is very localized/only hits one area and it's really only my feet that get cold.

@LyceeFruit I actually got a bunch of wool socks from my knitter friend that I need to break in + fur-lined house booties, but I don't want to wear my booties on the couch?  Especially since the couch is part of my apartment's furnishings/aren't mine to potentially destroy.
if they're house booties, that means they've never been outside, so i don't see how that'd destroy your couch?

we had an emergency evacuation plan in middle school in case the nuke plant went. even at 11, i knew it was a bad plan.
