Whats $$ to replace both battery/fan on a 3 yo HP laptop?
Battery can run anywhere from $20-$40 depending on the number Li-Ion cells it contains and the continuous watt-hour output.

Fan is a little more tricky as that will depend on the CFM and power requirements. And hopefully it's not direct-soldered. The part isn't bad, probably no more than $10. It's the labor to get at the fan for replacement that will be $$$.
