No, it's some ****** fluorescent light that you're supposed to shine in your face for 30 minutes a day. I switched mine on about 5 minutes ago, so let's see what happens.
I don't think it gives you any vitamin D, so not really a susbstitute for sunlight. I think it's something psychoogical about bright light in your face being necessary to properly trigger your internal clock. Or some **** like that.
By the way, i am feeling considerably more upbeat now, after ~45 minutes of happy light. Ready to head out into the sub-zero conditions to go pick my son up from school.
