I'm printing out salary.com's engineer grade level 1-5 50% salaries and also printing this out https://www.asce.org/uploadedFiles/Membership_and_Communities/Regions_Sections_Branches/Content_Pieces/engineering-grades-brochure.pdf to justify why I should be at grade 4. Getting all my ammo ready to hopefully talk about a raise next week.

GS-11 is kind of low in salary...

In Portland, OR Mechanical Engineer IV the lowest 10% makes 90k, 50% 112k and 90% make 138k. I wouldn't say that's terribly low by any means.
for GS-11 step 10, even in the DMV area, it's around $82k..I don't know much since I am a consultant but I have friends that work for Fed.

that's a nice pay...in comparison to GS-11

And Actually Portland was my target destination when I move out of DC area
But Grade IV is equivalent to GS-11 on that ASCE site, unless I'm missing something
I think I got confused if Grade IV is equivalent to GS-11 and if you use the GS table based on the geographic location even at step 10, is only $8xk...not sure how you get $132K at the high end of GS-11..

GS-13 maybe

I was just going off of grades and not steps. And it seems like the data doesn't match up from the OPM and ASCE skill set. But then again government to my understanding pays less. I don't know anymore haha...jeez
