It seems like below the cut line, the active force and the passive force would get balance [a]. If this step in the solution changes to 839/(15-h)=3760/h, it would be more reasonable .
To get the tensile force in the rod, the resultant active force and the moment arm need to be changed accordingly. Does anyone tell me whether my understanding is right or not? Thank you.
