Does anyone have experience in either or both? Which would you recommend doing if you have to pick one? Would the MEM be weighted as  equally in industry as an MBA? Assume staying in a firm/org which is engineering based.

Thanks

I asked my friends who have done MEM and MBA for their insights. They mentioned that it depends on your career goals. If you want to focus on engineering management and want to work in an engineering-based firm or organization, MEM would be a good choice. It provides a deeper understanding of engineering principles combined with management skills. However, if you have broader career aspirations beyond engineering and want to explore opportunities in different industries, an MBA might be more suitable. Both degrees hold value in industry, but it ultimately depends on your specific goals and interests.
