Hello guys!

I`m just curious if anyone had a situation similar to my situation,

I`ve got a engineering degree from Russia, from University in Nizhny Novgorod. So I was going to try to get a PE license, but prior to that I need to pass FE exam. I`ve been working in US as a mechanical engineer for the last 8 years doing structural design and FEA analisys (nothing serious). Unfortunately our company don`t have any PE`s on board....

Long story short : I started evaluation process with NCEES, took about 5 months to get responses from Russian institution, and finally NCEES sent me an unofficial evaluation of my degree.

It appears that I really don`t need to submit any paperwork to the board of PE to pass FE exam. The problem is when I was trying to schedule FE exam, NCEES site asks to add a degree and it couldn`t find my institution within their database.... So I assume the institution and my degree is not ABET accredited...

Not sure what I have to do next. I tried to contact WI board of PE`s but they sent their general message (copy/paste) with the information how to apply for PE license.

Any help/advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Alex,

Hi! I'm also a foreign graduate and like you my school is not ABET accredited. When you log in into your NCEES account there is a live chat tab on the bottom of the window, ask them to add your school...they'll do it right away.

I am also a foreign Engineering graduate. When I signed up for the FE exam,I did not find my school in the school selections so I just left it blank.
